Na Min An
Ph.D. Student at KAIST AI
Building omnimodal AI systems that are fair, interpretable, and accessible is what I work toward as an AI researcher. My belief that AI can meaningfully assist people, such as through simulated visual prostheses for individuals with visual impairments, took root during my first research experience as an intern at Im Lab under the guidance of Prof. Maesoon Im.
Currently a graduate student at CVML Lab, I am advised by Prof. Hyunjung Shim (previously co-advised by Dr. James Thorne, 2023–2025), and visited the University of Copenhagen (Spring 2025) to collaborate with Prof. Isabelle Augenstein. I am also a research intern at NAVER, advised by Prof. Dongyoon Han.
My research centers on understanding multimodal representations, diagnosing and mitigating representational, social, and modality biases through enhanced interpretability. Feel free to reach out at naminan@kaist.ac.kr!
